Tourist Visa Extension（extendable only once,30days）
Tourist visa (VOA) is issued on arrival by paying in the airport. The fee for the visa was US$10 for a 7-day visa, US$25 for 8 to 30-day visa, and starting January 2010, a 30-day visa costs US$25 and is extendable only once for another 30 days. It cannot be extended for the second time, so you need to travel out to abroad such as Singapore.

KITAS
The below KITAS holders are allowed to get services like Indonesian citizen such as can obtain driving license(valid for one year),bank account, etc. The applicant must prepare personal documents and required documents from sponsor. At first, apply inside Indonesia, after permit is approved then apply at the embassy of Indonesia overseas. There are other kinds of visas available such as social visa and business visa.
＜Type of KITAS＞
- ◆Working Visa
- For foreigners who want to work in Indonesia. The sponsorship from Indonesian based company, and can work for pay in Indonesia.
- ◆Student Visa
- With this visa is allowed to come to study. The sponsor must be the student's school. Please contact the embassy of Japan for more detailed information.
- ◆Family Visa
- The visa is available for foreign female whose spouse Indonesian male and for their children. This visa is also available for foreign male KITAS holder's spouse and their children, but not for foreign male whose spouse Indonesian female. With this visa is not allowed to work or do any business activities in Indonesia.
- ◆Owner Visa
- For foreigners who has company in Indonesia, Foreign Investment Company (PMA).
- ◆Retirement Visa
- For foreigners who want to retire in Indonesia.
＜IMPORTANT NOTE＞
- ◆KITAS valid for one year, and is extendable every year.
- ◆After you finished your visa, you must apply for EPO (Exit Permit Only)
- ◆KITAS holders must pay (exit tax) FISKAL Rp.2.500.000 before departure to abroad, must arrange re-entry permit before departure & pay airport tax Rp.150.000.
Working Visa
For foreigners who want to work in Indonesia. Working visa holders are allowed to obtain driving license and bank account, however need to pay US$1.200 /1 year and (exit tax) FISKAL before departure to abroad. KITAS is extendable every year, and can be extended for max. 3 years inside Indonesia. A sponsorship from Indonesian based company. The below document is required to apply the visa. And the applicant must bethe age of 23 or over.(under the age of 22 cannot apply this visa).

Family Visa
Visa valid for woman whose spouse Japanese male KITAS holder, or Indonesian male. You need to once leave from Indonesia. Required documents.

Retirement Visa
Retirement visa is especially for foreign pensioners to stay and live in Indonesia for long term after retirement. There are two ways to apply the visa. Arrange visa application after arrived at Indonesia, and after permit is approved then you can apply your visa at the embassy of Indonesia in Singapore, or you can apply short term visa in Japan "Holiday Lansia" visa for people who apply retirement visa, then come to Indonesia, and apply retirement visa in Indonesia. You can choose either from two choices. However each has different terms and conditions.
＜Qualification＞
- ①Applicant must be over 55years old.
- ②Passport valid for at least 18 months.
- ③Same qualification above if your spouse and children wish to apply the visa. The children must be unmarried and under the age of 16 years old.
- ④Insured for health insurance & life insurance, insurance for personal liability (insured in Indonesia is better)
- ⑤Proof of holding pension (US$1,500 or more per month).or proof of income for the same amount or more per month or proof of deposit-bank statement (deposit about US$400.000 required)
- ⑥Purchase (US$35.000 or more) or rent (US$500 or more per month) an accommodation which must be located at an authorized tourist area.
- ⑦Employ at least one Indonesian citizen.

- ⑧Purchase (US$35.000 or more) or rent (US$500 or more per month) an accommodation which must be located at an authorized tourist area in Bali. (proof of receipt or proof of rental agreement)

Social Culture Visa
Social Culture/sosial budaya visa is also called Social Visit visa. The purpose of sosial budaya visa is cultural or educational exchange and long stay to visit relationships or friends. With sosial budaya visa you are not allowed to work or do any business activities. You need sponsorship the name of Indonesian citizen. After 60 days stay permit, and can be extended every 30 days for maximum 180days.If you want stay longer you must travel out once and back to Indonesia. Visa application at the Indonesian Embassy in Japan is very difficult.

Business Visa
There are two kinds of business visa, single and multiple. Single business visa is single entry and you can get 60 days stay permit at first, and extendable every 30 days for a total stay of 6 months, however this visa will be expired once you leave from Indonesia. Multiple business visa is multiple entry and permits a stay of 60 days at first, and extendable every 30 days for a total stay of 180days.After 6months, if you need to stay longer, you can travel out and back to Indonesia and you can get max. 180 days stay permit. This visa is multiple entry and valid for one year. Japanese company can also be the sponsor, however this visa does not allow you to do activities or work for pay in Indonesia.
